Next year Canada will also be at the Eurovision
Canada will participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, as announced by Prime Minister Mark Carney. Canadians can vote until November 5 to choose the country's first representative from five finalists selected from 325 submissions. Canada will be the first new entrant since Australia's participation in 2015. Meanwhile, Hungary's return to Eurovision remains undecided, with potential discounts on entry fees if they choose to participate. Hungary last competed in 2019 but withdrew in subsequent years, citing support for local talent instead of Eurovision, although speculation about the influence of the contest's LGBTQ ties exists.
