Next year, one of the municipalities' obligations will cease.

Next year, municipalities will see the elimination of the increase in business tax deductions, resulting in a 62 billion HUF reduction in solidarity contributions. The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development announced that municipalities will also no longer be required to contribute to the regional development fund, providing relief of approximately 30-35 billion HUF. Financial conditions for Budapest and its districts will improve by at least 84 billion HUF, while county cities will have 29 billion HUF more available. Rural towns will receive an additional 25 billion HUF, and villages will benefit from 37 billion HUF more. Additionally, cities will receive 10 billion HUF in state aid for public transport, with Budapest's public transport receiving a further 50 billion HUF support. The controversial solidarity contribution, which municipalities have long requested to abolish, is expected to generate 335.67 billion HUF in revenue for the government in the upcoming budget.
