Already over 60 billion PLN in Employee Capital Plans
The value of assets in Poland's Employee Capital Plans (PPK) has significantly increased, reaching 60.3 billion PLN by October 2023. The program has attracted nearly half a million new participants in the past year. The growth is attributed to both rising contributions and favorable stock market conditions, with the WIG index increasing by 136% over three years. Participants benefit from employer contributions and state subsidies, leading to higher savings compared to individual deposits. A hypothetical participant saving since December 2019 could see their account value increase by 140-247% above their contributions.
