Canadian fund will build a factory near Opole. This is the first such project in Europe

Kinterra Capital Corp. has acquired 44 hectares of land near Opole, Poland, for a battery chemistry factory, marking its first European investment. The project is supported by a Polish government grant of approximately $340 million. Construction is currently in the pre-engineering phase, with plans to open the factory by 2032. Kinterra is assessing market demand and conducting feasibility studies to optimize technology for battery production, focusing on both electromobility and energy storage sectors.
