Cancer in Pope Leo appears not to have metastasized: no further treatment needed

Pope Leo left the Gemelli hospital in Rome on Saturday, recovering well enough to lead the weekly prayer at St. Peter's Square on Sunday. He expressed gratitude to the public for their support and to the medical staff for their care. It remains uncertain if he will resume all his duties immediately, as appointments until October 20 have been canceled. A trip to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru is scheduled for early November, but no decision has been made regarding this trip yet.
