Kara for Kaczyński for words about the police
On July 10, Jarosław Kaczyński and PiS politicians laid wreaths at the Piłsudski Square, facing protests and police presence. They were not allowed close to Lech Kaczyński's monument. Kaczyński criticized the police for not responding to alleged attacks on participants of the monthly commemorations, calling them 'militias of the ruling party.' Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński condemned Kaczyński's remarks as scandalous. KO MP Maria Janyska announced plans to submit a request to the Ethics Committee for Kaczyński's punishment, which could range from a warning to a reprimand.
