András Kármán announced Zoltán Sólyom as the new CEO of Szerencsejáték Zrt., effective immediately. The company will operate in the interests of Hungarian taxpayers. Sólyom has extensive experience in corporate insurance and finance. His appointment follows the dismissal of the previous CEO, Zoltán Guller, amid allegations of financial mismanagement benefiting Fidesz-affiliated companies. Kármán criticized the company for distributing billions without transparency, particularly before elections. The leadership restructuring began in July, with several previous political appointees removed from the board.
