András Kármán: We are providing a lifeline for baby waiting loan holders

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced a new housing and energy modernization program aimed at upgrading 120,000 homes by 2030, funded by EU sources. The Wekerle+ loan program will launch on October 28, targeting young adults aged 18 to 45, with a maximum loan amount of 50 million HUF. The program includes energy efficiency loans for various types of housing, with fixed interest rates of 3% for new homes and 5% for used ones. Additionally, the government will support savings through the Wekerle+ Housing Savings Program, offering significant state contributions. The Babaváró loan will also provide relief for borrowers facing challenges in meeting conditions, including a two-year interest-free repayment option for certain circumstances.
