After András Kármán's closing remarks, the law on the protection of state assets was adopted
In his closing remarks, Finance Minister András Kármán responded to János Hargitai's concerns, stating that the swift submission of the bill aims to protect state assets and prevent attempts to misappropriate them. He dismissed criticisms regarding foreign influence, clarifying that the regulation focuses on safeguarding majority state ownership from irresponsible fund managers, while the situation for small shareholders remains unchanged. In response to István Apáti, Kármán confirmed that the 150 billion HUF wealth returning from the Cooperative Integration Organization will remain under the management of MNV Zrt., with no plans for its sale. Following the debate, the National Assembly approved the bill on the protection of state-related assets and state-backed financing with 115 votes in favor, 38 against, and 4 abstentions.
