Karol Nawrocki and the Grand Hotel case. The first public hearing

The first public hearing in the defamation case filed by Karol Nawrocki against the owner of Onet took place in Warsaw. Nawrocki claims that an article accused him of involvement in prostitution activities at the Grand Hotel in Sopot. Witness testimonies were presented, including one from a former security employee who recalled seeing Nawrocki with a woman and a man, suggesting suspicious behavior. Another witness, a college friend of Nawrocki, acknowledged the presence of prostitutes but stated there was no organized effort to bring them to the hotel. The court postponed the hearing until January 18, 2027, when Nawrocki is expected to testify. The case follows a controversial article published during the election campaign when Nawrocki was a presidential candidate, leading to accusations of defamation and demands for an apology from Onet.
