Helicopter disaster in the Himalayas. Six people died

A helicopter crashed while flying from Badrinath to Dehradun, resulting in the deaths of all six people on board. The aircraft lost communication over the Joshimath valley, prompting a search and rescue operation by local authorities and the military. The operator's entire fleet has been grounded following the incident, which is believed to have been caused by severe weather conditions. This tragedy follows a similar incident in June 2025, where seven people died in a helicopter crash involving pilgrims in the same state.
