A harsh winter may be predicted by the cold wind

According to folk observation, a cold wind on Dömötör's day signals a harsh winter. Today, a lively northwesterly airflow is expected across much of Hungary, with a stronger breeze in the east. Most regions will experience sunny and dry weather, while eastern areas may remain cloudy with light rain until early afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms could develop along a convergence line westward. Temperatures will generally range from 11 to 16 degrees Celsius, but may stay below 10 in persistently cloudy areas. The forecast for Tuesday indicates minimal rain in the morning, with a few clouds and brisk northerly winds. Morning temperatures will be between -2 and -6 degrees, rising to 12-17 degrees during the day.
