The Hungarian police are searching for two individuals, Gábor Kósa and Bálint Májer, linked to a ventilator procurement scandal involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both are wanted for money laundering, with international arrest warrants issued. Kósa is the CEO of iSRV Zrt. and a strategic advisor for OTT-ONE Nyrt., while Májer is a former CEO of the same company. A coordinated operation by the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) led to the seizure of 1.5 billion HUF and the arrest of one individual in Austria. Eleven others were questioned, with two taken into custody. The investigation covers budget fraud and money laundering related to the procurement during the COVID-19 pandemic, including price inflation and misuse of equipment.
