The procedural deadline regarding Bertalan Havasi's salary claim has been extended by two months.
The Public Service Decision Committee has extended the procedural deadline by sixty days regarding Bertalan Havasi's salary claim against the Prime Minister's Office. Havasi, a former deputy state secretary and Fidesz spokesperson, expressed frustration over the delay and the lack of a response from the Prime Minister's Office. He was dismissed from his position in May 2026 after a public dispute with Prime Minister Péter Magyar. The dismissal was justified by the claim that his behavior could damage the reputation of the government. Havasi filed a complaint with the committee in mid-August, expecting a decision by mid-October, and indicated he would pursue legal action if his claim is denied.
