Two leopards attacked a zookeeper at a Dutch safari park

An animal caretaker was severely injured by two leopards at the Beekse Bergen safari park in the Netherlands. The attack occurred in an internal area of the enclosure, where the experienced caretaker managed to call for help via radio. Despite her efforts, the injuries sustained were life-threatening, and survival is deemed unlikely. The leopards had sought shelter indoors due to severe weather conditions, a space typically avoided by staff during animal presence. The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear, and no security footage exists. An investigation has been launched by the Dutch labor inspectorate. This incident follows a recent attack in a British zoo where a tiger fatally injured a young man who entered its enclosure.
