A multi-vehicle collision involving around ten vehicles, including a truck, caused significant traffic disruption on the E17 towards France near Kortrijk. The incident occurred during heavy rain, leading to several rear-end collisions. One person was hospitalized due to shock. The highway was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to operate, resulting in long traffic jams. The road was gradually reopened starting at 6:30 PM.
