The mayor of Pécs, Attila Péterffy, plans to initiate the dismissal of Zsolt Lipics, director of the Pécs National Theatre, due to ongoing professional and personal conflicts. Despite internal investigations revealing no misconduct, concerns have been raised about Lipics' management style, which some claim has stifled other actors. A petition signed by 128 theatre employees was submitted to the city leadership, urging political groups to stop using the institution for personal and political conflicts, as it harms both the theatre and the community.
