KHNP announced a tender for hybrid cooling towers for new units in Dukovany

Korean company KHNP has announced a tender for hybrid cooling towers for new nuclear units in Dukovany, involving design, technology supply, and construction. The tender will be a limited competition with two consortia, including Czech firms, expected to contribute about 60% of the project. The construction of new nuclear blocks is projected to be the largest domestic contract, costing approximately 407 billion crowns. The hybrid cooling towers will utilize a combination of dry and wet cooling to significantly reduce raw water consumption. KHNP plans to hold an informational meeting for potential bidders in November and aims to finalize a contract with the winner in the first half of next year.
