Details of the healthcare salary increase have been revealed, the patient safety reform is coming, and patient satisfaction measurement is on the way.

Next year, healthcare workers in Hungary are expected to receive an average salary increase of 15%, potentially leading to a 17% net income rise due to personal income tax reductions. Health Minister Zsolt Hegedűs announced that approximately 123,000 healthcare employees will benefit from this adjustment, with a total of 192 billion HUF allocated for salary restructuring. This initiative aims to include previously excluded groups and enhance the overall compensation model, allowing for predictable career advancement based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, a standardized patient satisfaction measurement system will be launched, alongside a national patient safety reporting system to encourage healthcare workers to report unsafe conditions without fear of repercussions.
