When Responsibility Costs
The Gabriel Narutowicz Political Thought Institute has named its Educational Center after Jan Karski, organizing an international conference titled "Responsibility in Times of Trial." This event highlights the shared values of Karski and Narutowicz, both exemplifying public responsibility and moral reflection in politics. Karski, a courier for the Polish underground during WWII, risked his life to inform the Allies about the Holocaust, while Narutowicz, Poland's first president, faced personal threats yet remained committed to serving all citizens. The conference aims to address contemporary challenges through the lens of responsibility, drawing on historical experiences to foster unity and understanding in society.
