Kimi Antonelli is the youngest world champion in F1 history, Verstappen won in Mexico

Andrea Kimi Antonelli became the youngest Formula 1 world champion at 20 years and 68 days after securing third place at the Mexican Grand Prix. His performance ensured he could not be surpassed in the points standings. Antonelli is the first Italian champion since 1953. Despite needing only a ninth-place finish to clinch the title, he performed well while rivals Lewis Hamilton and George Russell struggled. Max Verstappen won the race, while Antonelli celebrated his championship alongside Verstappen and Hamilton on the podium. The remaining races of the season will not affect the championship outcome for Antonelli, but competition for second place remains tight.
