Kino Tęcza returns after renovation. There is a reopening date.
The renovation of the Tęcza cinema aims to preserve its modernist character while enhancing natural light and space. The project includes improved communication layouts and a large skylight. The new cinema hall will accommodate 145 viewers with advanced 4K projection and Dolby Atmos sound. The cinema will be managed by the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Center, hosting film screenings, cultural events, and educational workshops. Originally built in 1929 as a boiler room, Tęcza has a rich history, serving as a theater and cinema since the 1930s, and is set to reopen during the Andrzejki weekend.
