The editor-in-chief of Reggeli was fired from RTL after Dorka Gryllus's media hack.
Starting next Monday, Kata Márkus will no longer be the editor of RTL's morning show, as reported by Telex. The RTL network did not provide a reason for this decision, but it is believed to be related to a controversial media stunt involving Dorka Gryllus. In a recent episode, Gryllus staged a fainting spell that mentioned menopause, which was later revealed to be part of a campaign for DM drugstore, without disclosing its advertising nature during the show. The campaign was intended to be announced on October 18, coinciding with World Menopause Day, but due to public scrutiny, it was disclosed earlier. Both RTL and DM apologized for misleading viewers, and the case is under investigation by the Economic Competition Authority and the Self-Regulatory Advertising Board. An internal investigation is also ongoing at RTL, and Ádám Jakab will take over Márkus's responsibilities as interim editor.
