Knokke-Heist will switch from garbage bags to garbage bins only in 2028

Knokke-Heist will transition from waste bags to containers for residual waste and GFT in 2028, delayed from the original 2027 plan. The municipality has reached an agreement with Horizon Net 3.0 for waste collection over the next decade, but new garbage trucks are needed for the new system. The delay allows for better preparation and refinement of the system with residents.
