The Fidesz EP group has once again become the third largest alone with a communist member.

Kateřina Konečná has joined the European Parliament's Patriots of Europe group, restoring its status as the third largest faction. Konečná, a member of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, previously sat as an independent. Her addition brings the faction's membership to 85, surpassing the euroskeptic-conservative ECR group, which also has 84 members. Konečná has a long history in the European Parliament, having served in various capacities since 2003.
