The conservator did not grant permission for the embankment. The museum must change its plans
The Mazowiecki Wojewódzki Konserwator Zabytków denied a permit for a temporary embankment in Park Fosa, citing concerns over historical and natural preservation. The planned structure aimed to facilitate heavy equipment transport for a bridge leading to the Museum of the Polish Army and the Museum of Polish History. The conservator highlighted risks of damaging historical terrain and archaeological remains. Following the denial, the Museum of the Polish Army appealed but ultimately decided to abandon the original plan, opting for alternative solutions that respect the site's heritage. The bridge project, which has faced local opposition, will connect the Citadel area with Aleja Wojska Polskiego and is estimated to cost over 37.8 million PLN.
