Kremlin says negotiations between Moscow and Kiev are scheduled for November

Direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the U.S., are scheduled for November in Abu Dhabi, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. The discussions will focus on ensuring security for both nations post-agreement. While the inclusion of European representatives is not ruled out, it is deemed unlikely at this stage. Russia expressed readiness to resume peace talks, which had been stalled since early this year, following a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also shown support for this initiative.
