Kremlin 'ready' to resume trilateral peace talks with US, Ukraine, Putin claims

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the potential resumption of trilateral peace talks with the U.S. and Ukraine in mid-November. During a meeting with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, they discussed a framework for these talks. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted President Trump's commitment to facilitating peace. Witkoff's visit followed discussions in Oslo with Ukrainian President Zelensky and European allies, who supported the talks. This diplomatic effort coincides with increased Russian attacks on Ukraine, resulting in significant civilian casualties. Trump recently issued a waiver of sanctions, claiming it aided in the release of U.S. prisoner Stephen Hubbard, and praised Putin's humanitarian efforts.
