Who is right in the dispute over the Constitutional Tribunal? Poles have spoken out
A recent IBRiS survey reveals that a significant portion of Poles believe neither President Karol Nawrocki nor Prime Minister Donald Tusk is right in the Constitutional Tribunal dispute. 32.7% of respondents chose the option that neither side is correct, while 32% sided with Nawrocki and 27.8% with Tusk. Among government coalition voters, 73% supported Tusk, while 60% of opposition supporters backed Nawrocki. The survey indicates a shift in public opinion over recent months, with previous polls showing different blame distributions for the conflict. The ongoing dispute involves the legitimacy of judges sworn in without the president's presence, leading to a stalemate in the Tribunal's operations.
