KV Diksmuide-Oostende dismisses board member accused of sexual abuse

KV Diksmuide-Oostende has dismissed a board member accused of sexual abuse after a lengthy dispute. The club had attempted to suspend him two months prior, but he resisted, claiming personal vendettas were at play. The allegations date back 20 to 25 years, prior to the merger of KSV Diksmuide and KV Oostende. Following complaints, the Flemish Sports Tribunal is conducting an investigation. Despite the dismissal, the board member denies the accusations and plans to fight back, asserting that he will not relinquish control of the club. The club is also seeking new candidates to strengthen its management.
