Kyiv's housing market feels the chill as residents escape ahead of winter
As winter approaches, rent prices in Kyiv are declining due to an increase in vacancies as residents leave the capital amid ongoing Russian attacks. The number of long-term rentals has surged by 66% in two months, leading to a 6% drop in rental prices. Many are relocating to safer areas within Ukraine or abroad, while some companies are moving their operations westward. Despite the challenges, some landlords are adapting by installing backup power systems to attract renters. While many are temporarily relocating, the property sales market remains stable, indicating a reluctance to permanently leave Kyiv.
