The company Les Forges de Tarbes, which supplies shell bodies for Ukraine, placed in judicial recovery
Les Forges de Tarbes, a key French manufacturer of artillery shells for the Ukrainian army, entered judicial recovery on October 26. The owner, Europlasma, initiated this process to facilitate a potential buyer for the strategic defense company. Currently employing around sixty workers, the factory produces 155 mm shells for Caesar cannons supplied to Ukraine. Europlasma, which acquired the site in 2021, aimed to modernize it but faced financial difficulties, prompting an investigation into management decisions. Employees expressed despair over lack of support and communication, urging state intervention. Other Europlasma sites are also struggling, with one in liquidation. Regional leaders called for government action to secure investments for the factory's future.
