Agnès Pannier-Runacher, a deputy from Pas-de-Calais, was targeted by spyware, as reported by Politico. Apple notified her on August 13 that her device had been compromised. Alerts are sent to iPhone users showing signs of potential spyware infection, but do not confirm actual compromise without further technical analysis. The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the matter, which is now handled by the DGSI. Pannier-Runacher stated this is not her first experience with such incidents, having received similar alerts while serving as a minister.
