The right agrees on its candidates in the Senate: the PP withdraws in Gipuzkoa, Girona and Tarragona and Vox in six other provinces

The PP and Vox have reached a strategic agreement for the upcoming Senate elections, allowing them to coordinate their candidacies in 23 provinces. The PP will not present candidates in Gipuzkoa, Girona, and Tarragona, while Vox will withdraw from six provinces. In these areas, Vox candidates will appear as 'independents' on PP lists. This unprecedented alliance aims to consolidate the right's majority in the Senate against leftist movements. The agreement also seeks to secure a reinforced majority for the right, enabling potential changes in the Constitutional Court and the General Council of the Judiciary. The negotiation reflects a shift in electoral dynamics for both parties since the last elections.
