Long-acting Rilatine will no longer be reimbursed from November 1st
Starting November 1, Rilatine Modified Release will no longer be reimbursed, forcing patients to switch to the generic Equasym or short-acting Rilatine. The decision follows the manufacturer's removal of the drug from the reimbursement list due to the introduction of a generic version. The Health Minister expressed regret over this change, emphasizing the benefits of generics for patients and social security. Patients will need to adjust their treatment plans accordingly, as the alternatives may have different effects. Additionally, the out-of-pocket costs for patients will decrease significantly with the switch to Equasym.
