Work, incentives and enhanced bonuses for young people and women
With a stagnant labor market, the Italian government is extending incentives for stable hiring, particularly for young people and women, until December 31, 2027. The 2027 Budget Law includes contributions exemptions for permanent hires of women, youth, and workers over 35 in special economic zones. Young workers under 35 can benefit from a 100% contribution exemption for 24 months, with higher amounts in specific regions. Women unemployed for over 24 months can also receive similar benefits. Additionally, a revised maternity bonus will provide 100 euros monthly for mothers of two or more children, with an estimated 993,000 women eligible for this support.
