Lavrov goes to the US for the G20 despite visa delays

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will attend the G20 summit in the U.S. this weekend, leading the Russian delegation. The meeting will focus on geopolitical challenges and economic disruptions, particularly regarding conflicts in Ukraine and Iran. Despite visa delays, issues were resolved before the summit. President Vladimir Putin's attendance remains unconfirmed, and he last participated in a G20 summit in Japan in 2019. A trilateral meeting with U.S. President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping is also planned for November in China.
