The debate on the non-prescriptibility of sexual crimes against minors arrives in the Senate

The French Senate is set to discuss a bill on child protection, including the potential removal of the statute of limitations for sexual crimes against minors. An amendment proposed by Arnaud Bonnet, which aims to extend the imprescriptibility currently reserved for crimes against humanity to crimes against minors, was adopted in the National Assembly. However, concerns about its constitutionality were raised by Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin.
