The Goncourt Prize is awarded to Philippe Jaenada for "The Unknown of the Javel Quay"
Philippe Jaenada won the prestigious Goncourt Prize for his novel "L’Inconnue du quai de Javel". This marks his first win after being nominated four times previously. The announcement was made on November 3 at the Drouant restaurant in Paris. Jaenada, who is also a horse racing enthusiast, expressed that literary awards help reconcile his dual passions. Other nominated works included titles by Yannick Haenel and Clémentine Mélois, all published by houses under the Madrigall group.
