Heads are rolling in the Krakow city hall. Gibała fires five representatives

Kraków's Mayor Łukasz Gibała has dismissed several officials, including those responsible for climate, culture, and equality policies. These changes come alongside a restructuring of the city administration, eliminating six departments and creating new positions. Gibała aims to reduce the city's debt of approximately 9 billion PLN by cutting costs, including his own salary and operational expenses of the mayor's office. A draft of the city's General Plan has also been released, which was previously withheld from the public. Gibała was elected on October 11 after a referendum removed the previous mayor, securing over 62% of the vote against his opponent.
