"Doctors would kill them for that". Expert quoted the words of hospital accountants

Szymon Osowski, president of the Citizens' Network Watchdog, discussed the reluctance of doctors to disclose their salaries in public institutions during a Polsat News broadcast. He cited a conversation with hospital accountants who expressed a willingness to share salary information but feared backlash from doctors. Osowski emphasized the importance of transparency in public salaries, referencing a request sent to over 1,300 hospitals for a list of doctors and their earnings. He noted that only a small number of hospitals responded with actual data, revealing an average salary of 230,000 PLN. He criticized the lack of public access to this information, highlighting that public sector salaries should be transparent, as mandated by law.
