Medicines will no longer have to be evenly divided. The government has adopted the project

On October 27, the Polish government approved a draft amendment to the drug reimbursement law, aimed at correcting issues from a previous flawed reform. The new legislation, referred to as SZNUR, addresses problems from the DNUR amendment, which imposed unrealistic obligations on drug manufacturers. Despite some opposition from innovative drug producers, the amendment aims to facilitate access to medications, including orphan drugs for rare diseases. The government had previously suspended problematic DNUR provisions and promised swift legislative action, which was delayed until May 2025 for consultations. The new rules are expected to ease the reimbursement process for generic drugs, although concerns about potential impacts on drug availability persist.
