The director general of Serbian public media has resigned
Manja Grčić, the director of Serbia's public broadcaster RTS, resigned amid demands from staff and the winning student list in the recent elections. Her resignation comes less than nine months after her appointment, with calls for broader leadership changes due to declining public trust. Grčić stated that a leadership change would serve the institution's interests and urged the board to ensure a smooth transition. Previously, she held various leadership roles in media organizations, including BBC and B92. The recent parliamentary elections saw the Student List defeat the long-standing ruling party, leading to significant political shifts in Serbia.
