The head of Serbian public media has resigned

Manja Grcic resigned from her position as director of RTS after less than nine months, following demands from unions and the winning student list in the recent elections. Protesters called for her resignation and the removal of the entire leadership due to a loss of public trust in the media. Grcic stated that a leadership change would best serve RTS's interests and requested a smooth transition. Despite her resignation, she had previously indicated no intention to step down during discussions with unions. Grcic has a background in journalism and has held leadership roles in various media organizations.
