A president of a football club in Zala County is facing charges for budget fraud, failing to account for over 35 million HUF in funding. Between 2017 and 2022, he applied for support from the Hungarian Football Federation for sports development programs but did not provide necessary documentation for the funds used. Despite receiving over 65 million HUF in total support, he only accounted for 21.2 million HUF and voluntarily returned 720,000 HUF. The remaining 35.3 million HUF remains unaccounted for, leading to legal action by the Zalaegerszeg District Prosecutor's Office.
