Pope Leo is traveling to South America
Pope Leo XIV will meet with young people, prisoners, missionaries, and indigenous communities during his apostolic visit to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru from November 6 to 17. A notable event will be his meeting with prisoners in a Buenos Aires prison. The most personal stop will be in Peru, where he served for twenty years before becoming pope. The Vatican spokesperson confirmed that the pope, who underwent surgery on October 13, will be accompanied by his usual medical team and does not require special care.
