There will be a tram on Pacsirtamező Street, the public procurement for the design has just been announced.

The BKK has initiated a conditional public procurement procedure for a new 3.5 km tram line in Budapest, connecting Óbuda's amphitheater to the Kaszásdűlő HÉV station. This development aims to provide a faster and more comfortable alternative to the heavily trafficked 9 bus route and restore tram services in Óbuda, which have been absent since 1981. The project is expected to create direct connections between North Buda and North Pest, potentially benefiting 30,000-40,000 daily passengers. However, some residents express skepticism about the project's necessity, citing overlaps with existing transport options. The planning process will take approximately two and a half years, with funding from the local government and potential EU sources.
