Leszek Kieliszewski: The minority report assesses the risk of recidivism
The Deepened Recidivism Risk Assessment System (PSORR) is designed to assist judges in evaluating whether a convicted individual deserves conditional release or a suspension of their sentence. The algorithm, which is not publicly known, establishes a minimum recidivism risk of 20%. This raises concerns about the transparency and reliability of predicting recidivism and the chances of early release, reminiscent of the predictive policing depicted in Spielberg's "Minority Report."
