Arrested Seszták Miklós's confidant, who could have been the money courier

The Budapest Central District Court has detained a close associate of former Minister Miklós Seszták for involvement in corruption-related activities. The individual is suspected of aiding in the acceptance and transportation of bribes linked to a high-ranking official's misconduct. The court found sufficient grounds for the detention, citing risks of flight and evidence tampering. Seszták himself is also in custody, facing allegations of accepting bribes worth approximately 11 billion HUF during his tenure as Minister of Development. His lawyer denies claims of large sums of cash being stored in his safe, asserting that only documents were kept there.
