The government is establishing the Working and Human Hungary Institute

A social consultation has begun regarding the establishment of the Working and Humane Hungary Institute (MEMI), aiming to enhance civic participation in public decision-making. The institute will create a national participatory infrastructure, organizing forums and consultations, and will be led by a director elected by the National Assembly. Its first major task will be to launch the Voice of Hungary Program, which seeks to identify key social issues and citizen experiences. MEMI is set to start operations on January 1, 2027, with the program's initial report due by September 2027.
